MINUTES
FOR Meeting. – 02.06.10

Kay correction to the minutes from 7th April
2010.In respect to Wellstead Angels question on who should tell players what to
go for.This should not have said everybody to act as a nominated person, but
should have read, one person for the whole evening or can it be different
people for each game, (ie Chalker/checker)
v
Minutes from the last meeting were proposed by M Frost and
seconded by T Smith.
v
Letters have been received from the Wellstead Angels, who
will now be playing at the Hockley British Legion, and be known as the Angels
and from the Wellstead Ladies, who will now be playing at the Ambleside Club,
and be known as the Amblers.
v
The winners of the Triples
were C Willett/S Davies /M Colbert and the runners up were J White/L
Wilson /G Livett.
v
The winner of the Singles was J Goodwin and the runner up was
T Bailey.
v
The winners of the Hammond
Cup were the Drifters and the runners up were the Ekco Roamers.
v
The winner of the Litho Cup was T Bailey and the runner up
was J Goodwin.
v
The winner of the Presidents Cup was L Murphy and the runner
up was V Young.
v
The winners of the Caroline Barnes Cup were the Hybrid Team
v
The winners of the Mixed Pairs were K Sheldon & R Smith
and the runners up were J Redburn & A Davies.
v
The winners of the Victoria Cook Cup were the Flying Pockets
and the runners up were Westcliff British Legion B and the Ekco Roamers.
v
Kay reported that many members attended Chris Baileys
funeral, several past members, who have not been in the league, for many years
and Chris will be missed. Committee members chose to donate the value of their
annual gifts towards flowers to Chris, the league had a dartboard made up in
flowers. It was felt this was appropriate as Chris was one of the longest
members and was one of the founded members.

Trina Bailey thanked
everyone for attending and all the cards and best wishes.
v
Teams are asked to make sure that their venues are aware when
a match is due to be played there.
v
All nominations forms for the new committee for the new
season should have been handed in. All
captains to ask their girls who they wish to vote for, prior to the AGM. These
nominations will appear on the web site,1st July 2010.
v
The nominations were for the same people already on
committee, also there was two names for the vacant position, these were B.Wade
from Jesters Ladies and S Davies from Wellstead Angels.
v
Monies and numbers for the Presentation Dance should have
been given in. There will be a definite start of 8 o’clock. The£10 Prizes for
the Presentation Night raffle should also have been handed in. The number
attending the Presentation is 138, there are more tickets available, contact
Jane or linda if you require more.
v At the Presentation Dance
a bucket will be passed around for a collection . This will be for MENCAP in
memory of Chris Bailey. Next Season there will also be a cup in Chris’ memory
to replace the Arthur Knight cup.
v Teams are reminded, with
reference to the cups which are engraved every year, these are to be held at
the pub or club of the team and not taken home- as per rule 27 in the League
Rules and Constitution.
v The next meeting will be
the AGM on 2nd July 2010
v The next Committee Meeting
will be on 14th July 2010
v The raffle monies were £21
and the Fees were £60.
v The meeting closed at
8.45pm.
